Office
Furniture can appear to be very expensive and often new
and small companies will try and acquire cheaper
options, for example, second-hand furniture or furniture
from popular furniture/DIY stores. Ikea even offer
office furniture that can be delivered and assembled by
Ikea themselves.
When seeking
a new office it is always worth asking the landlord of
the building and other tenants if they have any surplus
office furniture. It is often the case that people
will be willing to offer the furniture for free/small
charge as the cost of removal can be high.
There are
various options available to a small business when
purchasing furniture and more companies are using the
leasing option that allows a company to spread payments
over a number of years and also allows for furniture to
be 'refreshed'.
